I joined RJW as an apprentice in 2003 and learned from time-served engineers across the business. This helped to identify my passion and potential for winding and fitting. It’s great to come to work knowing there’ll be different engineering challenges to solve every day. I love a challenge! There’s lots of support and a big ‘can do’ attitude in the company. People are friendly and always willing to help. I’d encourage young people to join RJW, learn on the job like I did, and build a great future. Outside of work, I enjoy family time, watching football, holidays, gym, socialising with mates and walking my pug, Ruby.
With a solid background in engineering sales, I joined RJW (for the second time!) in 2019. My role involves engaging new business and being a single point of contact for several accounts. I enjoy working closely with our customers to identify solutions that fit their needs and improve productivity across their sites. From urgent repairs to sophisticated monitoring, our one-stop-shop capability means there’s nothing we can’t do. RJW is a great company to work for. They’re very supportive and really look after me. To anyone thinking of joining, I’d say ‘go for it’! You get out what you put in. Away from work I love to spend time with my son and my two French bulldogs, Blue and Dixie.
