Motor Inspections

On Site Inspections

With the cost of downtime becoming more and more expensive, with quotes of thousands of pounds per hour quoted, any opportunity to prevent failures should be taken in order to ensure the continued running of plant and equipment in use in a range of commercial and industrial applications.

At RJW, in order to assist in the maintenance of rotating equipment, we offer a range of on site inspection services covering rotating equipment including, but not limited to:

  • electric motors

  • pumps

  • fans

  • gearboxes

  • generators

By tailoring inspection programs specifically for each range of rotating equipment we are able to detect failures early by analysing the motors, pumps and other equipment in far more detail than would usually be done enabling us to highlight problems that would lead to failure.

Depending on the application, we aim to detect problems including:

  • Overloading

  • Connection problems

  • Vibration

  • Overheating

  • Low insulation resistance

  • Poor alignment

  • Soft foot

  • Poor lubrication

All our findings are recorded in a concise report providing full details of the tests carried out together with recommendations for preventing downtime.

By using RJW to keep the plant running, we can save time and money by detecting failures early and then, if required, offering all the necessary services to prevent them from occurring.
