RJW has carried out batch winding of various types for over 40 years and during this time has developed the skills, experience and equipment to manufacture all kinds of wound components from complete motors to stand alone stators, armatures or rotors. In addition to the manufacture of components, the modification or retrofitting of armatures can also be carried out including voltage changes or altering the winding details.
The batch winding department is highly flexible with the facilities including automated winding equipment, coil shooting and binding equipment to carry out production runs in hundreds per week or the manufacture of single units for prototype purposes.
The department is also flexible in terms of units carried out ranging with not only of the manufacture AC and DC motors but also coil assemblies used in flameproof atmospheres and generator components used in small wind turbines.
The cellular setup of the facility means that we can undertake a wide variety of subcontract winding activities for rotating equipment including but not restricted to motors, pumps, fans and generators.
In addition to winding core packs, we can also provide VPI impregnation facilities, full assembly and sourcing and manufacture of cores.
